Job Brief As the Senior Technical Recruiter specializing in hard science and engineering roles, you will be responsible for attracting, sourcing, and hiring top-tier talent to support our research and development efforts. You will work closely with hiring managers and department heads to understand staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies, and build a robust pipeline of candidates. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for connecting talented professionals with exciting career opportunities.
This is a hybrid role out of the Oakland lab.
\n Key Focus Areas of the role may include:Coordinate the full cycle end-to-end recruiting from sourcing to post-offer acceptancePartner and collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and urgency of hiring needs to develop comprehensive job descriptionsUnderstand the Brimstone process and make compelling pitches to excite candidates about Brimstone's product and missionUtilize various sourcing techniques, including online job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals, to identify and attract qualified candidatesEvaluate candidates' technical competencies, qualifications, experience, and cultural addition through thorough interviews and assessmentsCoordinate and schedule interviews with hiring teams, ensuring a smooth and efficient recruitment processCollect and analyze feedback from interviewers to make informed hiring decisionsBuild and maintain relationships with candidates, keeping them engaged and informed throughout the recruitment processRepresent the company at industry events, career fairs, and networking functions to expand talent pipelines and promote employer brand awarenessPartner with members of the People Operations team and hiring managers to develop innovative recruitment strategies and best practicesProvide guidance, support, and training to hiring managers and team members on interviewing techniques, candidate evaluation, and selection processesTrack key recruitment metrics, such as time-to-fill, candidate quality, and source effectiveness, to measure the success of recruitment effortsGenerate regular reports and analytics to identify trends, optimize recruitment strategies, and make data-driven decisions For this role, we're looking for:Bachelor's degree in a hard science, including but not limited to chemistry or engineering5-plus years of experience as a technical recruiter, within the field of climate technology or manufacturingStrong understanding of scientific and technical concepts, with the ability to assess candidates' qualifications and skills effectivelyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with candidates and hiring teamsKnowledge of ATS system (Ashby preferable) and other recruitment toolsAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, work on multiple projects at once, take initiative, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of employment laws and regulations related to recruitment and selection processes Compensation, Benefits, and PerksSalary range for this role is $150,000 - 175,000 per yearCompany equity401k retirement plan with 3% company contributionMedical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependentsMental health benefitsGenerous paid time off policy12-weeks of parental leaveA fun, diverse, and talented team focused on making the biggest impact possible on climate change
