Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Writer with a strong background in creating and managing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation for Federal Civilian Agencies. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience in technical writing within a federal or regulated environment, showcasing exceptional skills in producing clear, concise, and accurate documentation that aligns with federal standards and requirements. This role requires the ability to work cross-functionally with subject matter experts, project managers, and technical teams to ensure high-quality, compliant, and standardized documentation. This is a fully remote 5 month contract.
\n Responsibilities:Develop and Maintain SOPs: Create, update, and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to agency-specific regulations and standards.Documentation and Compliance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce documentation that meets regulatory requirements and aligns with federal guidelines and agency standards.Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with subject matter experts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather insights and technical information for accurate and effective documentation.Technical Editing and Review: Review, edit, and format documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with agency style guides, quality, and compliance requirements.Document Control: Implement and manage version control processes, ensuring the latest SOPs and documentation are accessible and reflect the most up-to-date information.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve documentation processes and standards, incorporating feedback and best practices to enhance document quality and usability.Compliance Audits: Support periodic audits and reviews by ensuring documentation meets federal compliance standards and agency-specific guidelines.
