Operates and monitors company plants and facilities, typically Upstream facilities after primary separation and processing (such as gas and co-gen plants) and Downstream & Chemical refineries and plants. Monitors process variables, troubleshoots, and performs interventions to maintain operating performance.

Performs work of medium complexity and may assist on projects. Receives close supervision only on non-routine and critical aspects of work. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Working leader in immediate charge of the safe operations of terminal maintenance and terminal operations related to receipt, storage, and disbursement of all products.
May give work direction to other Terminal Operators.
Acts as an independent operator or directs crew in performing all work to meet commitments related to product receipts.
Works closely with Head Terminal Operator (HTO), Supply Schedulers, suppliers, and transporters for all products.
Maintains Terminal records as directed. For Example:
Stock Control

Waste/ regulatory

Additive

Internal Controls

Payroll

Personnel Scheduling

Driver Reports

Performs Inventory Reconciliation
Lead or performs work to meet commitments for product shipments.
Works closely with Head Terminal Operator, supply schedulers, and transporters for all products.
Assists Head Terminal Operator in Training contractors on applicable SWP's.
Trains and certifies new drivers on loading operations.
Leads and performs inspections and maintenance to ensure proper operation, and environmental integrity.
Initiates corrective action.

Arranges for or performs repairs.

Schedules, directs and/ or performs maintenance activities.

Supports the preventative maintenance plan.

Leads and performs activities in the tank yard and Tank Truck Loading Rack (TTLR) areas. For Example:
Gauging Tanks

Draining Water (roofs and bottoms)

Switching tanks serving TTLR

Discharging storm water

Sealing meters and fittings

Performing daily inspections

Performing intra-terminal product movements.

Leads and performs blending, sampling, and testing of all products to meet specifications by monitoring and maintaining equipment and documentation.
Trains and mentor's employees on terminal operations activities as directed by HTO.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Valid Driver's License

Ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance repairs.10 Years Mechanical Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry

Work rotating shifts, on-call shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime to support terminal operations, and respond to emergency situations when they arise.

Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers.

Ability to manage time effectively and work with minimal supervision.

Able to operate sophisticated fuel automation and computer systems

Must be able to meet all physical requirements of the job including climbing stairs and working on top of product storage tanks over 20 feet high and lift 30-35 pounds.

Basic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and an aptitude for learning new CBT packages.

Clear and effective communication skills, both oral and written. Good Organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Plant/Terminal Operator Experience -4 years preferred
