Purpose & NeedPart of Patel, Greene and Associates' (PGA) mission is "to elevate our communities." We pursue that goal, in part, through the innovative and responsible design of our transportation network. PGA's Traffic engineers and designers analyze and identify opportunities to improve safety and alleviate congestion within our growing communities. You will represent PGA directly to public sector clients as a reliable subject matter expert and project manager, and foster and maintain long-term client relationships that support PGA's strategic growth goals. The ideal candidate should be motivated to pursue and lead exciting projects, energized to mentor developing staff, and ready to further advance their career with a firm eager to see them succeed.
What you'll doMaintain responsible charge over multiple Traffic & ITS projectsLead marketing efforts for the Traffic & ITS discipline (preparation of letters of response and other technical proposals)Direct Traffic & ITS Group resources to produce a quality productProvide quality control reviews when necessaryLead internal training programs, as neededAssist in the strategic planning and growth of the PGA Traffic & ITS GroupDirect and mentor younger staffComplete tasks and projects within established supervisor's expectationsWhat you'll need10 – 20 years of progressively more complex post-registration engineering experienceBachelor's Degree or equivalent from an ABET-accredited university, majoring in civil or environmental engineeringRegistered Professional Engineer (PE)What you'll bringExcellent verbal communications skills and the ability to interact with a variety of clientsExcellent attention to detail and outstanding organizational skillsMust be able to effectively prioritize and assign work and meet deadlinesExcellent ability to perform multiple tasks in an organized manner and concurrently at the direction of PGA's leadership teamDemonstrate leadership qualities in all aspects while continuing to produce at a high levelAbility to work independently and as part of a team on deadline-driven activitiesSkill in working with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and other Office ProductsAbility to work across other disciplines (roadway, structures and drainage, landscape, etc.) to identify and reduce design conflictsWorking ConditionsThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job including working on a computer, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods at a desk; use hands, handle, or feel, talk, and hear.The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.The employee must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
