Fuss & O'Neill is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Transportation Engineer specializing in highways and roadways to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation engineering, with a focus on designing and managing highway and roadway projects.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging and impactful projects, collaborating with a talented team of professionals.
This position may report to our Manchester, CT office but your location is up to you!

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage highway and roadway projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Develop detailed engineering designs, plans, and specifications for highway and roadway improvements, including geometric layout and analysis, and drainage design.
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals and permits for project implementation.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, fostering their professional development and growth.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in transportation engineering technology.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field Minimum of 7 years of experience in transportation engineering, with a focus on highway and roadway design Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and roadway design tools Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering highway and roadway projects on time and within budget.
