About the Role:In this role, you will be responsible for providing a consultative approach to large, more sophisticated municipal clients with complex treasury needs.
You will develop new treasury management business, expand relationships, and handle high touch clients.
Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Market Managers, Division Managers, and other business lines to facilitate the onboarding of new clients to the bank.
Develop sales plans to identify the expansion of existing clients in conjunction with the Relationship Managers by preparing call schedules and presentations.Present a consultative working capital approach to prospects and existing clients.Lead the RFP process with Relationship Managers, Technical Solutions Consultant, and other respective business partners.Coordinate, attend, present, and travel for municipal and industry trade conferences in market.Lead consultative conversations with new and existing customers to define solutions that meet their goals and business objectives.
Facilitate the implementation and structure of new and existing services.Mentor and coach more junior TM consultants and analysts; train new TM consultants as appropriate.Monitor industry trends and competitive practices, including the impact of technology, regulatory, and legislative changes related to treasury management.Partner with Technical Solutions Consultants and product managers in the development of new product solutions and the enhancement of existing products and services.Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job functions and apply to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training.
Keep up to date on regulation changes.Follow all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and complete all required annual or job-specific training.Maintain a working knowledge of the Bank's written policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations as applicable to this job description.May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as a subject matter expert.Actively learn, demonstrate, and foster the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.Take personal initiative and be a positive example for others to emulate.Embrace our vision to become the "Business Bank of Choice."About You:Bachelor's Degree.Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or Business.2-4 years of experience in Treasury Management Sales, Sales Support, or other business-related experience.More than 10 years of experience in treasury management sales, service, and/or support (Required).Extensive knowledge and understanding of bank payment systems, treasury management solutions, and competitive practices.Proficient knowledge of sales principles and practices to effectively market treasury management solutions to prospects and clients.Demonstrated strong ability to consistently develop and execute sales planning within assigned sales territory.Proven ability to consistently achieve established sales and customer satisfaction goals, demonstrate effective new business development strategies, and build/source new relationships.Proven ability to effectively manage complex commercial account relationships and consult client best practices and operations to identify deficiencies to lead, develop, and implement effective solutions.Extensive analytical, problem-solving, excellent customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to lead, develop, and present effective sales proposals.Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and industry-specific software applications.Workstyle:Fully onsite.

The pay range for this role is $112,000.00 - $160,000.00 and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location.
The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
