Senior Treasury Manager
Land O'Lakes is hiring a Senior Treasury Manager.
Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer & Treasurer, you will be a key participant in the company's treasury management function.
You'll be actively involved in a broad range of treasury related processes and projects including cash management, wire transfers, investing/borrowing, bank account administration and compliance, foreign currency hedging and leasing analysis.
You will coordinate cash flow forecasts, assist the Treasurer with debt refinancing activities, and prepares month-end reporting.
Additionally, you'll provide expert advice to cross-functional teams on M&A and other projects and ensure policies and procedures meet the organization's objectives and regulatory requirements.
This role has two direct reports.
Your primary responsibilities include:
Cash and Banking Operations:
Manage daily cash position.
Ensure that the corporation and its subsidiaries have adequate liquidity at all times to meet operating cash needs.
Identify and implement best practice process and procedures to centralize and integrate cash management for maximum efficiency.
Effectively execute and control daily wire/ACH transfers with accuracy and to prevent fraud.
Partner with Tax, legal and accounting teams to provide oversight of international banking relationships.
Monitor and optimize interest expense, bank fees, lockboxes and card services.
Work on cross-functional teams on M&A projects and other integrations.
Comply with SOX controls and work with audit to guard against the risk of error and fraud.
Participate in special projects and strategic planning activities as needed.
Cash Forecasting: Coordinate with business units to compile individual monthly and annual cashflow forecast.
Other Responsibilities: Provide leadership, professional development and coaching to the treasury team, including conducting mid-year and year-end performance reviews.
Provide guidance, coaching and feedback.
Assist with FX exposure analysis and execute foreign exchange hedging transactions (spot and forward contracts).
Provide monthly report to Accounting and management.
Month-end financial reporting related to total debt, leases, guarantees, interest rates, hurdle rates, MTM reports, FMV reports etc.
Monitor expenses of the department and assist in budget development
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or Economics or related
7-10 years Treasury experience
Experience leading a team highly desired
Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) strongly desired
Competencies and other skills: Strong working knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, bank application software, and other computer applications.
Strong knowledge of financial market instruments, banking and cash management tools.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work both independently and with multi-discipline teams.
Ability to deal with continual change/Self-directed / self-starting
Desire to learn / Quick study
Strong interpersonal skills / ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external partners and customers
Approximate Salary Range: $120,000-$175,000
