About the job: Fulltime position Friday-Monday swing shift 4/10 Triaging incoming patients Assist DVM with patient assessment, treatment and procedures Partner with the patient care team regarding treatment plans, client communication and nursing care concerns Provide client education including, but not limited to: home care instructions, medications (indications, adverse reactions) and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients Induce and monitor general anesthesia and sedation procedures Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases and gather additional information as necessary Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing Compensation Range: RVT: $25.00 - $40.00 hour SVA: $25.00 - $36.00 $8,000 Hiring Bonus for Registered Veterinary Technicians and $6,000 Hiring Bonus for Veterinary Assistants (for full-time, new to SAGE hires) for overnight roles. $7000 Hiring Bonus for Registered Veterinary Technicians and $5000 Hiring bonus for veterinary assistants for swing shift roles. $6000 Hiring Bonus for Registered Veterinary Technicians and $4000 Hiring bonus for day shift roles. Shift differentials available! $3/hour swing shift, $5 overnight shift Who you are: You are a Registered Veterinary Technician or Senior Veterinary Technician with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You are able to remain composed during stressful & emotional situations while remaining motivated, trustworthy, and team-oriented. Basic Required Qualifications: High school diploma 1+ years of clinical experience as an RVT or 3 years of experience as Senior Vet Assistant Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60-days of hire or transfer into this role; (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license) ?????
