Kyverna is recruiting a Senior Vice President/Vice President Public Affairs, Corporate Communications. In this vital role, you will have broad responsibility for shaping Kyverna's Public Affairs and Corporate communications strategy encompassing media relations, patient advocacy, investor relations and corporate brand, narrative and reputation across internal and external stakeholders, channels and platforms. As a member of the Kyverna Leadership Team, you will be a key strategic partner and advisor to the CEO and Kyverna Leadership Team helping to advance its mission to free patients from the siege of autoimmune disease. ResponsibilitiesResponsible for leading Kyverna's Public Affairs, Investor Relations, Patient Advocacy and Communications team, which encompasses global external communications (media relations, social media, web); global internal communications; leadership communications (CEO support and senior-level leadership meetings and communications); and corporate brand and reputation.Lead and build a team of communications professionals accountable for communicating Kyverna's mission, strategy, performance, science, patient advocacy and impact on patients.Works directly with the CEO, CHRO and Board on formulating and delivering the Kyverna story to all stakeholders, internal and external.Works in close partnership with functional partners, such as Finance, Regulatory, Clinical, Human Resources and Legal to ensure communications are consistent and balanced with broad Kyverna objectives.Represents Kyverna with high-level external stakeholders as needed.Manage external media and PR agencies to accelerate Kyverna's capabilities and reach.Play a strategic role in shaping the market as Kyverna charters new ground in advancing CAR T within Autoimmune and elevating the Kyverna story and overall reputation.RequirementsProven track record of developing and executing innovative and impactful public affairs and corporate communications strategies that align with the organization's vision, mission, and values.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of corporate communications initiatives.Experience in managing complex and sensitive issues and crises and providing strategic counsel to senior leaders.Enterprise perspective and experience sitting on and working with/advise a cross-functional Leadership team.Proven ability to move with speed and agility; can foresee potential issues, manage crises, and leverage opportunities to enhance the organization's reputation and achieve its objectives.Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across all levels and functions of the organization.High degree of integrity, professionalism, and ethical judgment.Proven track record with editing, scripts, draft written announcements, letters, video scripts and briefing documents, for one or more CEOs of major publicly-traded healthcare enterprises or significantly-sized subsidiaries.Ability to manage and interface effectively with CEO Staff level stakeholders and negotiate and synthesize messages to ensure corporate narrative is consistent.Strong cross-functional and team leadership skills.Ability to represent the organization well with high-level external stakeholders.Strong partner management experience and ability to assess, leverage and manage external agencies and partners.Deep knowledge of and effective ability to use corporate affairs channels of communications.$300,000 - $400,000 a year
The salary range for candidates residing in California for this position is $300,000 USD to $400,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay for this posted position, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation geographic location, individual education, experience, tenure, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible for bonus, benefits, and participation in Company's stock option plan.
