WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
This role is responsible for adopting the best of sport innovation and sneaker culture, replicating them into virtual products to create consumer right assortments. This role will also be responsible for defining how the products are visually merchandised and establishing a launch cadence to serve the gamer in each of our unique gaming title digital stores. The candidate will leverage partner historical data, real-time market feedback, as well as their understanding of sneaker culture to advise the future (coming seasons) while winning today (current launch read & react/selling & serving).
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON?
We work closely with fellow merchants and cross-functional teams within Nike Direct; in particular SNKRS and NBHD merchandising, and Brand Marketing. We also work with Nike Product and Design teams to adopt and translate physical products into virtual assortments. You will report to the Nike Virtual Studios Lead Virtual Merchant.
In the role, core responsibilities will include:
You will support the process of curating and translating how physical products should visually be represented in-game and inform the segmentation strategy across the digital gaming retail ecosystem to drive a dynamic product portfolio.
Participate in Nike key product and merchandising seasonal gates to align on what products should be adopted for virtual assortments
Coordinate between genders, product types (Footwear, Apparel & Accessories), brands (Nike & Jordan)
Establish strong foundation of managing multiple Nike internal and external projects that require consistent relaying of information, submitting requests for approvals and sign-off, and drive a sense of urgency when roadblocks arise to ensure projects are able to meet deadlines

Passion for sport and sneaker culture, with a deep understanding of its athletes, communities and their motivations and challenges - Proven consumerist
Strong affinity and/or interest for gaming market trends and how Nike can be a style leader in the marketplace
Digital mindset is critical and full understanding on how to best connect digitally with our consumer
A desire & willingness to adapt to our consumers' and organization's needs to help shape the future of the game
Footwear, Apparel, Equipment or relevant consumer product buying and/or merchandising experience
Strive for operational excellence and manage, track and execute against multiple timelines and workback calendars
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to travel up to 20%
