This role requires a meticulous approach, balancing aesthetics, user needs, and functionality. You will be a key contributor, ensuring our design language is consistently upheld while inspiring others to become brand advocates. With a deep understanding of typography, color, design principles, and user research, you will create cohesive solutions that influence user behavior and deliver delightful experiences. Your ability to integrate user research into your design process will be pivotal in crafting visually appealing and user-centered designs.
Where you'll work This position is remote.
What you'll be doing Set the vision for visual design across our software UI and other brand touchpoints.
Ensure all visual projects are aligned with the current brand expression and maintain cohesion.
Independently manage design projects from conception through delivery.
Prioritize and deliver all visual design tasks with high fidelity.
Collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
Clearly communicate concepts to mentees, peers, leaders, and stakeholders using appropriate artifacts for persuasive recommendations.
Support and protect the design integrity of the product and brand vision, integrating user research insights where applicable.
What you'll need 5+ years of visual design experience in the digital space, with a strong understanding of user research methodologies and can demonstrate past applications in design.
Design portfolio with at least 5 case studies demonstrating expert knowledge of design principles, the design thinking process, and user-centered design. Your portfolio includes examples of mood boards, style guides, slide decks, and other visual assets, showcasing creative problem-solving, holistic thinking, collaboration, adaptability, and excellent storytelling.
Expert understanding of digital design (print experience is a plus), including pixel grids, color theory, Pantone swatches, typography, iconography, buttons, input fields, components, page templates, photography, printing, logos, illustrations, and design trends.
Demonstrated use of Material Design and Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
Experience working across native iOS and Android apps as well as responsive web.
Solid understanding of Figma and its component libraries.
Proficiency in Adobe products (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
Ability to produce and share visual assets effectively with stakeholders.
Adaptability to change and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Passion for pixel perfection and maintaining high design integrity standards.
You approach new experiences with a learning mindset and integrate user research to enhance your design process.
