Short Description The Senior VP, Institute and Centers is responsible for all Cooper Institutes and Centers (except for Cancer) including enterprise strategy to grow volume across the seven counties in Southern New Jersey, business alignment of strategies across all institutes, and operational execution to improve quality and efficiency. The SVP will partner with the Chief Physician Executive (CPE) to lead all Institute VP's and Dyad partners and is responsible for providing leadership, development, and executive oversight of strategic initiatives for all Cooper Institutes and Centers (except for Cancer) and ensuring highly effective business alignment of long-range strategic plans, goals, and objectives and operational execution.Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the SVP is responsible for leading, monitoring, and modifying the health system's service line/institute strategy to standardize and improve access to care, improve quality, reduce cost of care, and provide an overall excellent patient/customer experience. The executive analyzes financial, quality, service, access to care and operational data to identify gaps and create strategies for improvement and program growth. The SVP ensures collaboration in an executive/physician dyad model and across Cooper's Executive Leadership Team.Additionally providing leadership for the entire range of programs within the Institutes & Centers with the objectives of improving the quality/value of services available to patients, physicians, and staff, and improving overall profitability. Experience Required Collaborate with CPE, Finance, Clinical, Operational, Ambulatory Operations, and Strategic Planning leaders to develop and implement the vision and direction for the Institutes & Centers.Assure alignment, standardization (where appropriate), and collaboration between the Institute Vice Presidents to drive organizational strategy, growth, and results (Quality/HRO, Experience, Education & Research and Growth & Financial Stewardship).Develop and implement a strategic metric driven plan that focuses on improved financial performance of the Institutes, ensuring that the plan includes a capital budget, operating budget, cost containment initiatives and new technology forecasting.Ability to work successfully in matrix management structure required and the ability to articulate a vision and lead others through change.Represent Cooper in managing and developing opportunities with external organizations to achieve service line expansion and additional growth for Cooper Institutes and Centers.Ensures communication channels are used among and between Institutes at all levels to facilitate understanding, awareness and collaboration Education Requirements Master's degree required (MBA, MHA, MA or MSN) In depth knowledge of strategic planning, business development and relationship building. Demonstrated competency in "systems" thinking and ability to integrate complex business for organizational alignment. Strong Financial and analytical acumen.
