Job Summary Join our team as a Senior Water Resources Engineer and play a key role in the Clean Rivers Program in Washington, DC.

The successful Senior Water Resources Engineer will support a long-term program and work on one of the largest CSO tunnel projects in the mid-Atlantic region.
You will manage day-to-day activities of the project as well as mentor teams in the design and planning of complex and innovative combined sewer, wastewater conveyance, and wastewater treatment plants.
The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Program Manager as part of the TYLin team located in the DC Clean Rivers Project field office at DC Water (Blue Plains).
Exceptional experience will be attained that only a few engineers in the field have as a result of leading this project.
Responsibilities & Qualifications DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage sewer engineering design and consulting teams for complex assignments, including hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, utility plans, technical specifications, preliminary and final designs, bid assistance, design services during construction (DSDC), infrastructure condition assessment and rehabilitation, and cost estimating for pump stations, pipelines, treatment plants, and stormwater systems.
Manage engineering projects, including developing work delivery plans to manage resources, budget, schedule, deliverables and client engagement.
Manage multiple technical assignments simultaneously to participate and lead teams to complete assignments to the client's satisfaction while following the contract requirements and maintaining schedule and budget.
Review of engineering designs, bid packages, RFPs, and Statements of Work prepared by others, as part of a program management role in support of the client's Capital Improvement Plan implementation.
Assist in providing Program Management Services including CIP planning, budgeting, scheduling, project bundling and prioritization, managing project delivery, overseeing and coordinating multiple consultants and contractors to execute the work, overseeing data management, providing technical advisory services and staff augmentation for large water and wastewater programs.
Mentor TYLin staff, provide career guidance and support their growth while following our core values.
Regular meetings and presentations of project deliverables to clients.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: B.S.
degree in Civil Engineering is required.
MS.
Degree preferred.
Experience: 12+ years of experience in managing water and wastewater engineering design projects and teams.
Demonstrated experience overseeing the development and implementation of design and construction contract documents for complex infrastructure projects.
Program management experience must include CIP planning, budgeting, and scheduling; overseeing project delivery by managing multiple consultants and contractors to execute the work; providing technical advisory services; and staff augmentation for large water and wastewater programs.
PE license is required.
Must reciprocate licenses in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
