Our candidate will be responsible for the design process of small, medium, and large water and wastewater projects, including working on mobile water treatment units, artificial beaches, lagoons, surf parks, and other civil & mechanical engineering-type projects that need to be managed and led by a highly motivated, experienced engineer with excellent client interaction skills. You will oversee the process design on all types of projects, including drinking water plants, mobile units, package plants, aquatics-related installations, and rapid prototyping systems, ranging in size from small to medium to multimillion-dollar water treatment and distribution and wastewater treatment and collection projects.
Oversees the planning and executing of projects involving water, aquatics, drinking water, sewage systems, and/or wastewater treatment.Possibility to acquire field expertise in next-generation electrical water treatment.Daily process technical work, project planning, managing project scope, schedule, and budget, and reporting project performance are all performed.Establishing important project objectives and performance targets and communicating with clients on technical issues where necessary.Support for technical sales and client development, creation of proposals and technical sales presentations, and collaboration with regulatory bodies.Expand career-growth opportunities in the swiftly developing regional and national water practice plan, arrange and explain project technical needs to department management, and mentor junior personnel. Participate in sales and marketing initiatives and identify, lead, and manage critical pursuits.Help with design-build project delivery for water and wastewater projects, including drinking water plants and other facilities for real estate development, such as man-made beaches, lagoons, and surf parks.Participate in creating the project's scope, budget, staffing, and construction plans. Accountable for efficient change order management.Applying expertise and experience to complex problems, developing novel design approaches.Ensure that the design complies with the project, the client, and industry standards, including constructability, quality review production drawings for various projects, and project-related data as requested by the project managers.Resolving design-related installation concerns, calculations, field inspections, and material testing are all handled in conjunction with field employees during the quality review of the construction administration.Oversees installation, measurements, computations, and field inspections for public and private clients.Prepare and present technical reports for clients and trade magazines.Develop new business prospects while maintaining successful connections with current clients, customers, and contractors. Accountable for ensuring that objectives and standards for customer satisfaction are reached.Give the water process engineering practice leadership, direction, and instruction. You should mentor engineers with less experience.Accountable for the QA/QC procedure observance.Accountable for ensuring efficient collaboration with different engineering disciplines.Accountable for following the company's and the site's safety rules.Performs other tasks as directed.Complies with all regulations and requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program with a minimum of 5 years experience.Master's Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of civil or related engineering experience required.EPC project experience preferred.Experience in designing and constructing municipal water or wastewater treatment facilities is strongly preferred, including three or more years leading process design of water/wastewater projects with responsibility for budget, schedule, contractual obligations, client service, and quality standards.This position requires a self-driven individual with a background in water or wastewater process and plant facilities and a willingness to take on new challenges.If you have a water-focused background, a demonstrated ability in advanced water treatment technologies. In addition, the candidate needs experience in hydraulics, chemical feed systems, alternate disinfection systems, advanced oxidation, and residual handling.If wastewater-focused background, a demonstrated experience and knowledge in preliminary treatment, primary treatment, secondary treatment, possible biological treatment (including BNR), disinfection, hydraulics, and solids processing and handling.Must be able to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry, government, and public contracts on project-related matters, US & international.Existing relationships with local and statewide clients are a plus.Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience with leading the discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members.
