We are currently looking for a full-time Sensory Research Analyst in Richmond, VA to conduct statistical analysis of sensory data collected from various sources that include trained and untrained consumer panels and product development panels as requested by the client.
In this position you are responsible for data analysis of sensory and consumer data and interpretation of data as requested by the client. Various statistical functions may be used to include, but are not limited too, descriptive statistics, ANOVA and other modeling functions, parametric and non-parametric tests, Chi-squared, preference mapping, advanced multivariate techniques such as Cluster analysis, principal components analysis, and multidimensional scaling. Responsibilities also include monitoring and tracking all participant and panel performance at panel and individual panelist levels; identifying trends and changes in performance and providing feedback to panelists and/or client. In addition, you may build surveys within the survey software, work with client personnel to align data analysis to study specific objectives and participate in client operations meetings and study initiation meetings.
\n Knowledge/Skills/Education/LicensesA minimum of 5 to 7 years relevant industry experience, preferably in sensory panel research3 to 5 years of industry/sector experienceAcademic and practical experience with a wide array of new product, brand, advertising and customer satisfaction research methodologiesExceptional written and oral communication abilitiesStrong analytic skills with experience in statistical modeling and analysisProficient with Excel Stat, PowerPoint, and SPSS/SAS, JMP, MIniTab or RExperience with sensory data collection systems such as Compusense and/or Red JadeBachelors or advanced degree in market research, sensory research, statistics or data analysisAccording to the Code of Virginia 18.2-371.2B, employees must be 21 years of age to work around tobacco products.
