What You Will Be Doing Set up various styles of meals for events, including but not limited to sit down meals, buffet, and social setting Provide excellent guest service to each of the settings listed above Provide proper cleanup during and after an event Reads, understands, and carries out all instructions as outlined on BEO (Banquet Event Order), or as directed by management Serves and busses tables properly and timely Set up breaks and functions in a decorative and pleasing manner Complies with house rules and policies, and safety standards Perform other duties as assigned by management Assist guests with any special needs during their visit Sets up and takes down all types of banquet functions timely and accurately and in a variety of locations Other duties as assigned by management How You Will Do It Knowledgeable about menu and wine selections and is able to describe them to guests Ability to project a professional appearance at all times Ability to have a professional, courteous, and friendly attitude towards guests and co-workers Knowledgeable in the cleanliness, correct use, and maintenance of all equipment and work areas Knowledgeable in hotel property and park venues and hours of operation High School diploma or equivalent. What You Will Need Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to stand, or walk for extended periods of time Individual must be able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language Ability to actively communicate with large groups of Guests and other co-workers within the outlet Be available to work flexible hours at nights and on weekends within the limits of applicable Federal, State and facility labor laws and guidelines Must be a friendly and outgoing team player.
