Must be willing to Create and Deliver a Great Guest Experience Every Single Time Smile and Greet Customers, Be Friendly and Eager to Serve Demonstrate a high level of professionalism, good business judgment, and poise in serving guests in all situations Role Responsibilities Create and Deliver a Great Guest Experience Every Single Time in accordance with Mount Mitchell Café & Eatery hospitality and service standards Prepares room for dining by setting tables, caddies, napkins, sauces, and utensils. Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and control policies. Guides patrons in selecting food and beverages by presenting the menu; offering appetizers; suggesting entrees; explaining the daily features; and answering food preparation questions. Demonstrate vast menu knowledge and ingredient knowledge Transmits orders to the kitchen by recording guests' choices; and identifying guests' special dietary needs and special requests. Properly and promptly serves orders by picking up and delivering patron's choices from the kitchen; delivering accompaniments and condiments Respond to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; and observing the dining process. Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing necessary utensils; refilling water glasses; and being alert to patron spills or other special needs. Concludes dining experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant; and inviting patrons to return. Obtains revenues by totaling charges; issuing food tickets; accepting payments; delivering bills and payments to host person; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Qualified candidates for this position have : Professional demeanor is a must 1-2 years of strong serving experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills, detail-oriented Proper Food Handling Motivated to consistently exceeding customer expectations Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively meet all deadlines, works well under pressure Passion for great food, hospitality, and making people happy Capability Requirements The following capabilities are required to perform the essential functions of this position.
Sit, stand, and walk continuously Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch, or climb, including the use of ladders Frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds, including lifting overhead Continuous use of hands and wrists for grasping and fine manipulation Communicate proficiently through speech, reading, and writing Maintain effective audio-visual perception and judgment to observe and respond to the environment Work in an indoor or outdoor environment that features hot and cold temperature variations and exposure to food and outdoor allergens Operate and work safely with restaurant equipment including, but not limited to, knives, fryers, and food service equipment Compensations: $2.25 + Tips, No Tip Pooling
