Responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment that is essential to the Proton Therapy System (PTS), troubleshooting equipment issues, performing routine preventative maintenance, conducting system inspections, and communicating the system's status to leadership and other stakeholders, support hardware and software testing, and be involved in all phases of PTS maintenance, including unit testing, integration testing, validation testing, and other site-related activities, which affect global operations.
Challenges we trust you withMaintain and deploy the Proton Therapy System (PTS) for various customer needs, which will include but not be limited to: QA, Development, Software/Hardware Testing, Troubleshooting, and Experimentation.Troubleshoot PTS equipment including electrical, mechanical, and software problems.Perform maintenance of the PTS including but not limited to routine preventative maintenance, system upgrades, and corrective maintenance as necessary.Perform system inspections and clearly communicate the status of the system to leadership as well as to IBA employees.Provide support to PTS Hardware and Software testing.Support daily clinical operations for the customer clinical staff as defined by the Site Manager and Site Technical Leader (STL) in accordance with site policies.Maintain adequate records as defined by the customer and Site Manager in accordance with company QA and FDA regulations.Support the PTS in all phases, which will include but not be limited to unit testing, integration testing, validation testing and other various site related activities as the Site Manager and STL defines them.Perform other related duties as required and assigned.What we valueYou have: BS in Engineering, Physics or other applicable field, or a High School diploma or Associate's Degree with 3 years of relevant work experience.3+ years' experience in electrical/mechanical system repair, troubleshooting, maintenance of large integrated systems.Good manual dexterity and ability to work with tools.And you also are:Mission oriented, driven by what is possible to protect, enhance and save the lives of the patient we serve.Customer service oriented, with a solution-oriented mindset (listen and seeks to understandA team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collegially collaborate across teams.Thoughtful, driven, proactive, and hands-on individual.Able to follow rules, regulations, and be able to deliver on strict deadlines.Willing to travel during the training period (+/- 2 months), and as needed for career development and additional specialized training.Additional QualificationsExperience with several of the following: Cyclotrons, Electronics, Mechanical Systems, Software Analysis, X-Ray Systems, Positioning Equipment, Cooling Systems, Vacuum Systems, PLC's (Siemens), Regulation Loops, Drivers, Sensors, Electric Motors, Radars, High Voltage Equipment, Power Supplies, Proton Therapy Systems, etc.Solid general knowledge of/experience with - MS Suite: Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, Teams, etc.Knowledge of local EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) regulations.Basic knowledge of LINUX systems, SAP, Siemens Step 7, and/or Service Max is a plus.Life at IBAThe job will take place in a specific IBA site.
