Job Description: Hampstead Pre-Owned is searching for an experienced Service Manager to join our team and help us continue to exceed our customers expectations.
The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our service department, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of automotive repair and maintenance services.
This role involves managing a team of technicians, handling customer service issues, and driving departmental performance.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Job Duties/Responsibilities: Field phone calls from customers who previously purchased a vehicle
Field calls from new customers
Maintain a service schedule
Manage our rental cars, both their maintenance and when they are rented out
Access warranty information, contact warranty companies, and work with them to resolve our customers issues
Collect payments for completed repairs
De-escalate tense situations with customers
Maintain organizational standards in the service department
Work closely with several mechanics and technicians assigned to the managers team
Manage carts for vehicles to obtain necessary parts
Test drive repaired and serviced vehicles
Qualifications(Certifications, Skills): Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Superb organizational skills
Experience in a customer facing role
Valid driver's license
Clean driving record
Able to drive a manual transmission vehicle
Experience managing small teams
Experience handling cash and taking payments
MSI License (active or previously held)
ASE Certification (preferred)
Able to read, write, and speak Spanish proficiently (preferred)
Experience: We are searching for candidates who have prior experience as a service manager, service writer, or service advisor.
Technicians with customer service or management experience are also welcome to apply.
Compensation: Salary: $70,000 - $90,000
Average Compensation(Hourly/Salary + Average Commission): $70,000 - $90,000
