Service Team Leader (Project Manager) : This non-union role is r esponsible for the administration, implementation and management of the service fulfillment processes in its goal of operational excellence. Responsible for the performance of the Service area and is accountable for the strategy and achievement of specific budget objectives.
Essential Duties: - Treat all internal and external clients with respect, honesty and integrity at all times.
- Identify and implement initiatives that are well-aligned with the company's strategic plan.
- Ensures quality standards of all service operation processes and functions required for execution of work and client satisfaction in assigned area.
- Work with Service Coordination to ensure Service Engineers and Apprentices assignments to both contract and service work.
- Responsible for achieving mission objectives regarding profit and management of resources such as backlog analysis, Work in Progress (WIP), overhead management, etc.
- Lead and manage a segment of the business while increasing profitability. Through leadership, move the business area towards profitable growth and client retention.
- Monitor, measure and modify process and process measurements to effectively and efficiently meet client needs and business area objectives.
- Determines the resourcing needs for service work by matching the capabilities of the Service Engineers and Apprentices with the length of the service job.
- Works as a liaison between Boland leadership, Trane and vendor partners and service team to resolve issues.
- With FTL's, responsible for maintaining team's expertise of Trane and competitor's products, product design, as well as working knowledge of HVAC principles.
- Interacts with sales to ensure smooth hand off of projects from the sales process.
- Supervising field associates in Service Department
- Responsibilities include interviewing/ hiring/ and training employees; planning/ assigning/ and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Finance/ Business Administration/ Management/ Electrical or Mechanical Engineering/ Project Management/ Construction Management or 5 years HVAC industry experience and/or training
- Familiarity with operations of Energy Management Systems or HVAC systems and/or Temperature Control. Process Control Systems is preferred
- Valid driver's license & proof of vehicle insurance required to conduct job sites visits
-Excellent communication and written skills, client service oriented, multi-tasker, able to prioritize and re-prioritize
- Leadership, project management, and/or field experience is a plus
- NEBB and PMP certifications are a plus
