Service Technician

Jay Buick/GMC is growing its team and looking to hire an Automotive Technician.We are offering a flexible schedule option: 4 days @ 10 hours OR 3 days @12 hours.Qualified Specialists can make up to $40/an hour, with considerable sign on bonus.Employment with Jay Auto Group is about more than just a job! You will be encouraged and challenged to find a vision beyond a paycheck; what drives and motivates you so that you feel accomplished with your performance at the end of each day.BenefitsHealth BenefitsVisionDental401kVacation PayUp to $24,000 sign on bonus!*ResponsibilitiesPerform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.Qualifications2+ years of Service Technician experience preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification requiredB level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine RepairDexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordinationMechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipmentExcellent customer service skills and basic computer competenciesPositive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improveEnjoy working in a dynamic environmentTeammate with ability to collaborate with others effectivelyAbility to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specificationsValid driver's license and clean driving recordThe above qualifications are preferable but not not mandatory for employment.
