At Crown Power & Equipment, our service writer serves as a liaison between the service department and our internal and external customer base.
They assist the service manager in the coordination of the daily operations as while providing professional and an elevated level of customer service.

Communicates regularly regarding repair timelines and updates on anticipated completion dates with all custome.rs Assists in Logistics of Trucking/ Washing/ etc.

Completes all factory shipping verification for shortages and equipment condition at the time of delivery.
Opens work orders as directed by the Service Manager/Assistant Service Manager and maintains control until they are previewed, approved, and invoiced.
Manages All Warranty Bins / Service Parts to be returned / Oil Sample Submission and tracking.
Updates customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from the customer work order.
Ensures all service warranty and Product Improvement Programs are completed, and submitted within the required timeframe to receive maximum credit.
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
Maintaining accurate and on-time reports.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of basic computer functions.
Understanding of basic accounting practices.
Experience analyzing and interpreting basic internal reports.
Professional phone etiquette Positive and effective communication skills Ability to work collaborative with a team or individually to solve problems or issues successfully Valid driver's license Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, push, pull, lean, and twist Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Fitness to work in adverse and extreme weather conditions Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with some Saturday rotations Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of experience in equipment service in the same or similar industry is required.
Class E driver's license Forklift certification
Candidate is required to successfully pass the pre-employment screenings which include background check, pre-employment drug testing as well as driving record evaluation.
