Job Description
The enigge role we are seeking is a senior engineer with the ability to help design, develop and build the ServiceNow environment to support the global technology asset inventory within the Customer environment.
S/he must demonstrate a depth of knowledge, experience, and passion for digital transformation.
The candidate must possess broad enterprise expertise architecting solutions across infrastructure, security, application, and cloud architectures.
S/he must have experience establishing conceptual blueprints of how the current and future needs of an organization will be met through technology at Fortune 500 organizations.
S/he must possess the acumen to view enterprise challenges from a business, application and technology perspective and have demonstrated experience articulating it to stakeholders.
The ServiceNow Architect will be a part of the team responsible for baselining and documenting the technology hardware inventory for each of the Customer's estimated 400 global locations through both automated discovery and physical inventory as required by the customer at each of the sites.
An inventory from the current systems will be provided on a country-by-country basis to validate and remediate through a physical assessment and provided to the Customer asset inventory team.
New or retrofitted processes will be created to ensure sustained accuracy from the baseline forward.
Responsibilities
•Customer-facing technical consulting experience with ServiceNow
•Experience working as a ServiceNow administrator (design, enablement, automation, customization, Database Management)
•Experience with S-Now CMDB, Asset, Change and Configuration Management
•Experience developing on SaaS (Software as a Service) based tools (ServiceNow), with focus on implementing ITIL processes
•ServiceNow platform development and ServiceNow administration
•Experience with release/version upgrades including scheduling cloning and migration of data from instances with ServiceNow
•End-to-End Service Catalog development and complex workflows
•Full understanding of capabilities of ServiceNow to make strategic recommendations aligned to assisting the Customer in realizing operational excellence
•Applies innovative technical solutions to business and the application processes
•Accurate reporting on current technology assets at each site must be available at any point in time.
•Identification of end-to-end approach for populating customer's technology asset database (ServiceNow CMDB) with baseline asset inventory reporting for each site
•Collaboration with Customer ServiceNow resources to ready ServiceNow CMDB for asset inventories
•ServiceNow CMDB module adjustments will need to be identified in order to effectively house asset inventories as required by Customer
•Create automated discovery capabilities that probe each site for pre-determined assets and attributes that can then be populated within the ServiceNow CMDB
•Defines and documents procedures for processes and workflows
•Responsible for troubleshooting problems as reported by users
•Communicates effectively with management and other members of the project
•Integration of disparate systems using SOAP and REST APIs
•Mid-Server Configuration (to facilitate REST calls and discovery); CMDB configuration and integration
•Creation of Web Services for data integration
•Additional duties as assigned and defined by management
Preferred Experience and Attributes
•Extensive experience with ServiceNow platform (ITSM, ITOM).
•Proficient with JavaScript/GLIDE, HTML5, Transform Maps.
•Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems through SOAP or REST web services.
•Configuration experience in following modules on dedicated as well as shared instances (ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, KM, Release Management, Event Management, Configuration Management and Asset Management).
•Experienced working in large complex environments.
•Domain Separation Experience.
•Development experience in following areas: Business Rules, Access Control Rules, Script Includes, Script Action, UI Actions, UI Scripts, UI Policy, Data Policy, Client Scripts, UI Macros, Jelly, Web Services, Glide Record, Glide AJAX, Workflows, JSON, Encryptions Plugin, Notification, Reporting, Discovery (a plus), Integration, SSO, MID Server, LDAP.
•Extensive knowledge of two or more Front End Technologies: HTML, JSTL, DHTML, JavaScript and CSS, XML, XSL, XSLT.
•Experience integrating external ITSM and technology stack platforms to ServiceNow via multiple methods (REST, SOAP, flat-file, email integrations, etc.
).
•Works effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
•Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
•High level of expertise in multiple system environments.
•Proven problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail and quality work output.
