Job SummaryThe SharePoint Administrator will report to the SharePoint Developer & Supervisor in the Enterprise Applications and Databases department and work closely with all IT teams and the end user community. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to assist with the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of a Microsoft Online SharePoint environment (M365). Through the supervision of the SharePoint Developer & Supervisor, this role will require close collaboration with Application Support, and Project Management teams that are responsible for user support activities, content management, and business workflows in the SharePoint environment.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesWorking knowledge in a broad range of Information Technology-related concepts, SharePoint Online and any other computer-related skills required by this position.Have a comprehensive understanding of Active Directory and SharePoint permission hierarchy and structure.Ability to define project requirements based on user/client needs, working closely with a range of users from end users to the executive level.Ability to follow Project Management standards in documentation, planning, and oversight.Experience in SharePoint Administration in the analysis, design, hands-on development and delivery of web- and cloud-based applications.Experience with Microsoft Power Automate, PowerApps and other Office 365 applications.Minimum of 2 years working directly with SharePoint Online business solutions, including out-of-the-box configuration, InfoPath, and SharePoint Designer for maintaining previously migrated SharePoint sites, forms and workflows.Ability to troubleshoot SharePoint requests and make independent judgments/decisions.Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work within a team environment, and possess strong analytical skills. Must be able to effectively interact with administration, faculty, staff, and outside contacts.Committed to working in an organization that values and promotes diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism.Required QualificationsEDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems or any combination of training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties and responsibilities of this job satisfactorily.
EXPERIENCE: 2+ years of computer (technology) industry experience, including performing SharePoint-related duties such as workflow creation and assistance, creating and managing sites and pages within SharePoint.

Key ResponsibilitiesSharePoint Configuration & Administration:
Assist in the development, configuration and design of functional requirements for SharePoint sites, libraries, lists, and workflows, using Microsoft industry best practices.
Maintain branding and customization of SharePoint Online sites to align with company standards.
Maintain day-to-day operations of the SharePoint Online environment, including maintenance, support, and troubleshooting.
Monitor system health, usage, and overall performance of SharePoint Online services.
Through the advisement of the SharePoint Developer & Supervisor, oversee and assign user permissions as required and access management, ensuring compliance with security protocols and standards.
Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding SharePoint configuration, security, and operation (system diagrams, application topology, data flow, SOPs, business processes, security settings, etc.)
SharePoint Design and Automation:
Implement and maintain workflows using Power Automate for process automation.
Create and maintain custom SharePoint forms created using Power Apps.
Modify InfoPath forms and SharePoint Designer workflows as requested.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements for new SharePoint solutions and enhancements.
SharePoint Customer Support:
Resolve user tickets and perform ticket management using an ITSM application.
Train and support users on SharePoint features, functionality and best practices.
Provide user support and training to help increase SharePoint adoption and ensure effective use of SharePoint features.
SharePoint Strategy:
Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding SharePoint Online.
In collaboration with the SharePoint Developer & Supervisor, maintain, develop and implement governance policies and best practices for the SharePoint environment.
Provide monthly analysis for reporting and analytic consumption of SharePoint usage.
Advise the SharePoint team and management of developments either face to face or through regular written communication.
Solicit technical guidance and oversight from the SharePoint Developer & Supervisor.
SharePoint Project Support:
Support IT initiatives and provide assistance on projects as assigned by SharePoint Developer & Supervisor and/or IT Leadership.
Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Work ScheduleWork hours will typically be an 8 hour shift within the hours of 7:30AM and 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday. Occasionally after-hours work may be required, including nights and weekends.
