Department: Plan and Spec
Reports to: Sheet Metal Foreman/Project Manager
Job Description/Qualifications:
Take direction from the foreman and project manager
Ability to read and follow blueprints, rough sketches and/or engineer drawings in order to install accordingly
Work in the field while relying on management and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Ability to delegate and assign tasks to apprentice(s) while ensuring the work assigned is being completely properly and in a timely manner
Complete site safety inspections, tool box talks, fill out and submit reports as directed by the foreman and/or project manager
Note any and all changes to the drawings and communicate information through proper channels
Ability to work well with peers and contractors on a construction job site
Keep continuous communication on all progress/changes/complications with the foreman and/or project manager
5+ years of commercial sheet metal experience
Knowledge of Procore Project Management Software a plus
Knowledge of HVAC installation and plans and specifications
Leadership, communication and coaching skills
Punctuality and dependability, strong work ethic
Knowledge of standard concepts, practices and procedures within the Sheet Metal industry
Requirements
License Required:
MA JM Sheet Metal License
Valid driver's license
OSHA 10
EPA Universal Certificate
Physical Requirements:
Lifting an average of 50lbs on a daily basis
Climbing ladders and stairs
Ability to safely operate all equipment mentioned in the job description
Standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, lifting and walking for extended periods of time
Ability to handle frequent loud noises/Ability to accept & meet deadlines
Other:
An individual must show a willingness to continue to develop skills in the Sheet Metal and
HVAC/R trade as part of the continued learning process.
Must show strong teamwork skills and also be capable of working independently.
