Position: Shipping Associate
Shift: 1st shist
Location: Fort Worth, TX RESPONSIBILITIES:Audit small parcel and LTL orders for accuracy and correct errors as they are discovered Pack customer orders effectively to provide safe handling by carriers Pack customer orders, both physically and systematically, to ensure carton level detail Ships small parcel & LTL orders using appropriate shipping software (Softeon or Recon Logistics) Prints appropriate shipping documentation for packages and affixes to outgoing cartons Assists in loading outgoing shipments by hand or by forklift Works closely with the customer service team to resolve order related issues Picks customer orders as needed by accurately obtaining merchandise from bins or shelves Operates any material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required Helps maintain area cleanliness, safety, security, and organization of the distribution center Assists in managing and distributing customer orders to appropriate order pullers Perform all other tasks as required when assigned BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to work independently and stay on task to complete given assignments Strong attention to detail Strong math skills and analytical skills Ability to work with handheld scanners and/or computer equipment Ability to remain focused on your task throughout the entire workday Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions Willing to work overtime when necessary Must be able to lift 45lbs repeatedly Must be able to work standing/walking for the majority of the workday Must be able to visually distinguish detail, color, and other characteristics of material and objects Finger/wrist dexterity to work effectively on computer keyboard or grabbing/packaging product Must be able to get along well with a variety of different people Ability to work a variety of jobESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Ability to communicate professionally via telephone and electronically at various organizational levels Must be able to hear/understand/speak with team members at all levels within a diverse workforce Must be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, stand for extended periods of time Must be comfortable working with or around material handling equipment _______________ _ _ _ _ _ _
