The Opportunity: Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Shipping Clerk is responsible for day-to-day activities and assisting in preparation of outgoing loads of beams. Beams must be properly tagged, wrapped and organized to allow for efficient loading and unloading of trucks.
Responsibilities: Verify ready orders and keep orders organized for shipping. Direct truck drivers in proper flow and placement. Scan tags for shipment, assist and check product as truck is loaded. Ensure all beams are accounted for on shipments/orders. Scan tags on incoming and outgoing lumber and laminated beams. Keep yard picked up and organized. Serve as Back-up for Shipping Administrative Assistant. Required Skills : 2-5 years of shipping experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be skilled in Microsoft Office to include, Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to communicate well with management, co-workers, drivers, etc. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities Don't check off every single bullet point?
