About your role:

The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, pulling parts, cataloging, and preparing items for shipment.

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities: Responsible for shipping, receiving, cataloging, picking, and pulling parts.Unpacks and checks in on parts orders and puts them away in their specific destinations based on part type and style.Prepares orders for shipment from the dealership and ships all outgoing packages for deliveries using proper packaging materials.Maintains basic shipping and receiving logs.Refuses packages that are not addressed to our name and address.Assists with other duties as assigned.Follow scheduled hours as needed, defined by your manager. Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Type of Experience Needed to be Successful: 1-3 years of automotive parts experience is preferred.1 -3 years of shipping and receiving experience is preferred. Specialized Skills: Basic computer skills for data entry and receiving and shipping parts.Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software/internet proficiency.Excellent verbal/written communication skills in customer, employee, and management interactions.Must maintain a valid state driver's license to drive any customer or company vehicle.Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.Familiarity with specific dealer brand parts is preferred. Supervisory Expectations: The position has no regular responsibility for overseeing or supervising the work of other team members. Independence of Action: The supervisor/manager closely monitors work; detailed instructions and procedures are generally provided. The work environment is a typical Automotive Retail, Sales, Mechanic Service environment, and working in the shipping and receiving area.
The employee must complete their work satisfactorily in an environment with significant distractions, including staff, clients, and vendors walking through and conversing, telephone ringing, conversations carrying over, loud noises, and interruptions to answer questions from others.
