Shipping & Receiving Clerk

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse.
This position ensures that incoming shipments are properly received, and outgoing shipments are accurately packed and dispatched.
Key Responsibilities:
* Receive Incoming Shipments: Inspect and verify the quantity and quality of incoming materials and packages.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of received and shipped goods, including the use of inventory management systems.
* Prepare Outgoing Shipments: Pick, pack, label, and prepare items for shipping according to customer or company requirements.
* Inventory Management: Assist in keeping inventory levels up-to-date, reporting discrepancies, and organizing the warehouse.
* Communication: Coordinate with shipping companies, vendors, and internal departments to resolve shipment-related issues.
* Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in the handling of goods, including hazardous materials if applicable.
* Operate Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment as needed.
Requirements:
* Experience: Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred.
* Skills:
* Basic computer skills (MS Office, inventory software)
* Strong organizational and time-management skills
* Ability to lift heavy objects
* Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
* License: Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain one) is a plus.
* Attention to Detail: Accuracy in documenting shipments and inventory is essential.
