Hexcel is currently seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator for our Amesbury, MA, USA location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: Ensures that the shipping/receiving of products inclusive of material preparation through carrier scheduling and coordinating.Manages and oversees the shipping/receiving activities through proper coordination with operations, sales/marketing, and qualityShip Hazardous Materials in compliance to DOT, IATA & IMDG regulations.Review Shipping Tables to ensure that all requirements are met.Make shipping arrangements, contacting Freight Forwarders, carriers, etc.
to schedule pick-ups and transportation.Executing and shipping of Epoxy Resins/Films, and Carbon Fiber Prepreg products inclusive of material preparation through carrier scheduling and coordinatingEnsures that all team members are trained properly according to company and external regulations Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Associates Degree preferred 1+ years related experience and/or trainingBasic computer skills to include the functional use of Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable programsUnderstanding of an MRP system; Microsoft AX exposure is preferred.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers or employees.Demonstrated oral and written communication skills with the ability to speak to and coordinate distinctly to different work groups.Experience with UPS and FedEx Ship applications preferred.Demonstrate attention to detail, good organization skills, and the ability to deal with problems and come to a viable solution, including knowing when and how to escalate issues as necessary.Must have the ability to be trained and certified to ship hazardous materials, both domestically and international.Lean manufacturing knowledge preferred Requires a valid driver's license
