Job Title: AFC, Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Description:
The AFC Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for unloading and inspecting delivered goods to ensure that all products ordered are received. As a receiving clerk, you may unload, count, and record the receipt of shipped goods while ensuring that orders have been correctly satisfied. Receiving clerks report shortages and damages that occurred during shipment to their manager or directly to the shipping agent. They may also be required to enter data into inventory systems and put away stock.
As a shipping clerk you are responsible for fulfilling customer orders by arranging inventory in the most space-efficient way, accurately and efficiently, while ensuring goods have met Fluke's standard of quality inspection. Packers must also make note of any special customer or product considerations, and labeling requirements for fragile or dangerous goods.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for processing all incoming deliveries daily; small parcel UPS, FedEx and common carriers, as well as airfreight and ocean containers
Open, de-trash, sort, match documents and stage all incoming freight for put-away into inventory
Comparing packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list and items are not damaged
Deliver product from receiving to the appropriate destination
Operates computer, scanners using customer database and heavy machinery that could include forklift and pallet jacks
Maintain organization and cleanliness in designated work area
Follows all safety protocols
Build packaging for shipment using assigned methods, boxes and or pallets
Accurately pack according to customer order
Ensures all packages meet warehouse standards after packing; no visible damage, boxes securely closed, address labels affixed and not obstructed
Ensure packaged orders are placed in correct area for outbound shipment processing
Qualifications:
High school diploma / GED
Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
Previous experience in inventory management
Experience operating forklifts
Flexibility to work overtime
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to follow verbal and written instruction
Strong communication skills
Must work effectively with team members
Outstanding organizational, planning and coordination skills with attention to detail
