JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Specialist is responsible for tracking inventory, keeping accurate records, packaging, and weighing items, printing shipping labels and postage, inspecting goods received for damage, and distributing products to other departments. All to ensure that our customers needs, both internal and external, are being met in a timely manner.
GENERAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or GED
• A minimum of 1 year experience in a shipping/receiving/warehouse environment.
• Proficient computer knowledge and ability:
o Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook

• Capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Ability to gain and maintain a valid forklift driver's license.

SPECIFIC JOB FUNCTIONS
The following are some of the principal job functions, however, other duties and activities may be required in performance of this job:
• Accept and document packages and deliveries made to the facility.
• Store items received in appropriate storage locations and document as required.
• Prepare items for shipping, noting item contents, packaging and delivery methods, and other logistical details.
• Schedule pick-ups with transportation companies via phone, internet, or customer web portals.
• Navigate carrier software and other specific websites to prepare shipping labels, customs documentation and required compliance documentation, such as commercial invoices, etc.
• Processing inbound/outbound shipments and unloading/loading on their respective carriers
• Identify and resolve shipping, storage, or receiving discrepancies as they arise.
• Gain and maintain an intimate operating knowledge of all processes, work instructions, and available equipment within department required to do assigned tasks.
• Cooperate with cross-functional team members to make changes/improvements as necessary.
• Ensure all department transactions and data entries are completed with a high level of accuracy while providing feedback and training where necessary.
• Maintain a clearly organized and clean workspace.
• Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the Team Lead or Supervisor.
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Healthy wrist-arm motion – repetitive motion of arms and shoulders
• Required to change from sitting frequently to standing frequently. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
