Job Description
Counter Sales is a customer-facing position that assists contractors, homeowners, and DIYers inside the store. From kitchen remodels to bird houses, Counter Sales should be able to adapt and be flexible to the customer's project and their comfort level in talking about materials. Helping customers includes generating sales, writing quotes, processing returns, researching special order products, and accurately presenting all our available services including custom cuts and deliveries. Above all, Counter Sales should be focused on product knowledge and creating lasting relationships with our customers.
This is a Full-Time job working 40 hours per week with overtime eligibility!
Store Hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 6:05pm, Saturday from 8:00am - 5:05pm.

Qualifications
Employees must possess the ability to perform the following duties:
Build extensive knowledge building materials
Use P.O.S. to process orders, create quotes, and manage purchase orders
Maintain a clean, professional workstation and personal appearance
Provide our customers with responsible advice regarding their projects
Occasionally assist customers in getting products to their vehicle
Other duties as assigned
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have competent typing skills, proficiency in general computer operations, and strong communication skills. Prior retail experience is preferred.
Additional Information
This is an entry level position with a paid two-week training period and continued learning while employed. The two-week training is completed on site with your supervisor or at a *Training Yard with the Training Department. The training for this position will focus on product knowledge, Point of Sale software, and yard operations.
*Training hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm and is required
This position is in a yard/retail environment. This position is largely active and requires employees to be on their feet for most of the shift. The noise level is moderate to loud.
