Our work depends on a SI&T Lead Test Planning Engineer joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities in the Northern Virginia and Washington DC areas.

As a SI&T Lead Test Planning Engineer supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for waterfront/shipboard integration and test, management of integrating shipboard weapons systems, testing systems of systems, and test documentation development.
Manages system development integration and testing including test planning, test procedure development and test execution of the Combat System Manages waterfront integration and test team when onboard ships Interfaces with Government to identify integration and test requirements and develop a plan of action for execution Plan test requirements for combat systems during or following new construction, overhaul or maintenance availability period Analyze performance of complex weapon system in a testing environment Coordinate with Government test team in defining test plans and procedures, including resolution of test documentation comments, definition of test schedules, and concurrence on verified requirements WHAT YOU'LL NEED: A degree in Engineering or related discipline/experience is required. A US DoD Secret security clearance is required. Over Ten (10+) years of experience as Test Engineer for Naval or Combat Systems Over two (2+) years direct experience in the engineering, installation and/or operation of the Aegis Combat System onboard US Navy ships or Aegis Ashore. Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT Navy and Marine Corps Sector A demonstrated ability to work across the Navy/Marine Corps major stakeholder organizations and in particular an understanding of the relationships between NAVSEA, PEO IWS and the Fleet Commands is required to perform this role.
