Sr. Pre-Construction Manager Sierra Executive Solutions, Inc. (SES) is a 3rd party search firm recruiting for a Reno, NV construction clients Senior Pre-Construction Project Manager to join their construction family. Someone who is interested in joining a company with a true family culture approach and who will help expand and support their core values of Safety, Integrity, Trust, and Excellence.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Work closely with owners, architects, and design professionals from the conceptual phase, design development, construction documents, budget development and turnover to operations.Create conceptual budgets at early stages of project based on unit metrics provided by client.Perform constructability on plans at different stages of design.Prepare detailed/accurate estimates that clearly communicate project costs and scope at different stages of design.Prepare overall contract exhibits reflecting final budget to client for execution/award.Perform value engineering studies for client consideration if budget issues arise.Through company bidding software, prepare detailed instructions to bidders, trade specific clarifications, and comprehensive bid packages.Review and validate/level subcontractor bids and proposed schedules.Engage subcontractor/client outreach to expand subcontractor partnerships.Represent company/employer at industry and community functions and actively participate in Business Development activities.Continuously improving (through creativity and innovation) our practical and technical approach to pre-construction allowing company/employer to be on the cutting edge of the industry.Training of applicable pre-construction staff when opportunity arise. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Ability to navigate project plans and specifications.Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects.Ability to handle multiple assignments at once.Close attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A strong work ethic and a "can-do" attitude.Proficient in Microsoft programs (excel, word, etc.) EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE A bachelor's degree in an Engineering/Construction field is preferred.At least 4 years of related experience required.Knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, and trade practices.
