Rainmaker is pioneering a modern cloud seeding system to solve water scarcity and inclement weather problems. We develop and incorporate radar validation, weather-resistant UAS, numerical weather modeling, and sustainable cloud seeds into an effective precipitation enhancement solution. The Engineering team at Rainmaker works on our UAS, dispersion payload, and in-situ/remote sensing systems. As a signal processing algorithm engineer at Rainmaker, you will analyze, modify and tune current algorithms as well as design and implement new features. Additional responsibilities include: - Investigating new technologies, prototyping concepts, evaluating user impact, and delivering products - Data collection and analysis
\n WHAT YOU'LL DODevelop, model, and test algorithms related to Radar, Lidar and InfraredAnalyze results from simulation or real data to identify root causes and trendsDevelop novel and advanced algorithms, performance simulation, and analysis - using simulated and real data in both time series and spectral domainsParticipate in lab-based and field testingSupport marketing and business development initiativesEngage in multiple projects, interacting with Customers as well REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSWorking knowledge areas such as digital filtering, spectral estimation, detection and estimation theory, linear algebra and stochastic processesAdaptability to new challenges with a strong motivation to grow and learn in new areasMust have a complete understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory; experience demonstrating a broad application of those concepts; and, expanding knowledge of principles, concepts, theory, and practices in related technical specialtiesMust possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly; apply them accurately; organize, schedule, and coordinate work phases; and, determine the appropriate approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project level to provide solutions to a range of complex problemsSolid grasp of atmospheric science concepts, principles, and theories, with the ability to apply them to practical testing scenariosProficient in data analysis, test documentation, and reporting; comfortable working with meteorological and UAV-specific softwareSelf-motivated and able to work autonomously while also being a strong team player in a fast-paced environment
