For information on our international network visit .  Job Summary: Supports milling operations associated with commercial and heavy civil paving projects.
Out of town travel is required and per diem will be paid. Main Responsibilities: • Embrace the Company's safety culture, actively support all safety initiatives, and adhere to defined accountabilities implemented by the Safety Steering and Continuous Improvement teams
• Support, promote, and practice the Company core values, vision, and mission; follow code of ethics, workplace conduct, safety, and other established policies 
• Safely operate vehicles, tools and equipment, including, but not limited to on-road vehicles, skid steers, loaders, hand and power tools
• Move tools and materials
• Assist with milling and related operations
• Assist with minor equipment maintenance and cleaning.
• Unplugs and shovels off conveyors an screens
• Changes out screens, rollers, cone liners etc.
• Repairs conveyor problems
• Greases moving machine parts
• Performs crusher machinery set up and take down including running cables and hoses
• Assembles/disassembles machinery, operating skid steers to move parts, tarping, shoveling aggregate 
• Maintain clean and organized working areas
• Work closely with skilled laborers and craft workers to complete projects
• Engage in multiple forms of physical labor necessary for completion of assigned construction projects
Education: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Valid drivers' license with ability to maintain a clean driving history required
Skills: • Previous experience in milling, and/or or related field preferred
• Experience working in a heavy civil construction environment or similar industry preferred
• Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to take initiative to assist in all areas of a project
• Ability to follow direction, identify hazards, and work safely
Physical Requirements: • Wear and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Company safety guidelines
• Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
• Regularly required to use hands to move and manipulate objects
• Regularly required to communicate (talk and hear) 
• Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl 
• Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
• Frequent exposure to loud noise 
• Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
• Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
• Required to work varying hours, including nights/weekends, and overnight travel may be required
Compensation and Benefits: Compensation*: $20-$28 DOE
*Estimated target starting compensation; actual compensation to be determined based on assessment of an individual's qualifications, education, and experience relevant to the role. Benefits: All full-time hourly employees are eligible to participate in Simon benefits as defined in plan documents. Available benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, term life insurance, supplemental life insurance, 401K with company match, short-term disability, flexible spending plan, and education assistance. Other benefits include eight paid holidays, and access to available company discounts.
