About This Position This position will support the operations and maintenance (O&M) activities for Athos 3 focusing on utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects within CAISO . This role involves helping ensure the safety, performance, and reliability of company assets while acting as a key point of contact between the company, project operators, contractors, and the local community. The role requires a combination of technical knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in solar PV and BESS operations, project support, and relationship management. Overview of Department The Operations Team is currently composed of eleven team members in Operations, Compliance, and Asset Management roles. Our Operations department ensures that our renewable energy assets are operated to the highest standards and is responsible for project operations, asset management, operational compliance and operational technology, as well as supporting the rest of the company in the delivery of future portfolios of projects. Please note this specific posting is for our Athos 3 sites in Riverside County, CA (CAISO). This role will be site based.
\n Responsibilities and DutiesSupport the O&M activities for projects in the region, ensuring compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, industry standards, and regulatory requirementsConduct regular site inspections and assessments to identify and address potential issues proactivelyMonitor warranty and other remediation activities in a timely and efficient mannerAssist in the development and implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance plans in conjunction with 3rd party O&M to ensure the reliability and longevity of solar PV systemsCoordinate with 3rd party O&M teams and external contractors for scheduled maintenance, repairs, and upgradesMonitor spare parts inventory and procurement to minimize downtime and ensure timely repairsServe as a point of contact between the owner and other stakeholders, addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing updates on project statusFacilitate effective communication and coordination with local authorities, regulatory agencies, and community representativesEnsure all operations are conducted in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulationsWork closely with the company's land, development, community engagement and health, safety and environment teams on all relevant matters Facilitate clear and effective communication to executives regarding project status, maintenance issues, and project performanceMaintain a current knowledge of applicable technology, troubleshooting techniques, and repair proceduresSupport on site warranty responsePerform other duties as assigned Qualifications and SkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in solar PV systems are a plus. Or equivalent experienceMinimum of 4+ years of experience in operations and maintenance of utility-scale solar PV projects 2+ years of BESS operation experience is desiredStrong knowledge of solar PV technology, system design, and operational best practicesExperience in supporting project management tasks, with good organizational and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication skills, and comfortable working with stakeholders and resolving issues proactively.Ability to travel regularly within the region and work in diverse environmental conditionsMaintain and file accurate documentation and reportsWorking knowledge of Excel, Google suite, Microsoft suite, Slack and other collaboration toolsHigh attention to detail and organizational skills are keyAble to thrive in a remote environment *A note on qualifications: Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply for jobs unless they believe they are able to perform every task in the job description.
