Our client is a growing residential solar company in Hauppauge, NY looking for a Solar Site Operations Manager.
The Site Operations Manager will manage projects and project teams successfully from qualification to closeout. In collaboration with the Field Supervisor and field team, this role is responsible for ensuring all project and contractual agreements are met and performed safely and professionally within established budgets and timeframes. The Site Operations Manager will play a key role in establishing team member roles and responsibilities and taking the lead in defining the structure and communication expectations to ensure efficient work and progression.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversite of solar construction projects and all field staff.
Provide oversight and supervision during the installation through occasional site visits and meticulous correspondence with Field Supervisors.
Prepare staff work schedules and conduct payroll.
Review financial statements, activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.
Track financial statements to keep all project operations in budget.
Perform personnel functions, such as selection, training, or evaluation.
Establish or implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, or procedures in conjunction with board members, organization officials, or staff members.
Direct administrative activities directly related to solar construction services.
Set project timeline and goals for completion and quality.
Enforce strict adherence to safety.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 3-5 years of residential solar site supervision or management required.
Experience in the construction industry a plus.
Proficiency with computer operating systems such as Microsoft Office.
Ability and desire to work collaboratively to ensure successful project execution.
Working knowledge of necessary industry-related tools
Proven ability to generate and deliver reports that provide useful insight into project details.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with a passion for ensuring projects proceed efficiently and effectively.
High school diploma or equivalent required, post-secondary education or certification preferred.
Must have a valid driver's license, maintain a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check.
Fluent in written and spoken English and Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to: excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity

Salary: 120k

Hours: Typically Monday-Friday 7am-4pm, varying depending on project needs.
