Why you're hereAs a Site Safety Manager at Unispace, you'll play a key role in creating and maintaining a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment across construction projects and operations.
You'll collaborate with various team members, including the Senior Regional Safety Manager, Field Operations Manager, and Head of Delivery, to implement proactive safety programs.

What you're responsible for Lead the implementation of safety policies and procedures specific to each project.
•Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, including federal, state, and local guidelines.
•Support the development and delivery of safety training programs for staff at all levels to promote safe practices and reduce risks.
•Collaborate with on-site project managers and superintendents to maintain safe work environments for employees, clients, subcontractors, and the public.
•Assist field teams during OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) inspections.
•Ensure appropriate protective equipment, first aid materials, and safety documents are available and accessible on-site.
•Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks with project teams.
•Support injured workers in returning to full or light-duty work, providing meaningful transitional work opportunities.
•Investigate incidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, and collaborate on workers' compensation claims and return-to-work strategies.
Your experience & skills Ability to oversee safety functions on-site, including administering safety orientations, managing substance abuse programs, and investigating incidents.
•Comfortable with administrative tasks such as paperwork and documentation.
•Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams, including Unispace staff, clients, subcontractors, and trade workers.
•Thorough knowledge of OSHA safety processes, guidelines, and workers' compensation regulations.
•Experience in Life Sciences/BioPharma projects is a plus, but not required.
•Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desirable, but we encourage all qualified applicants to apply.
•Certifications such as OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, or OSHA 500 are highly valued, but Unispace provides opportunities for training and certification.
•Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is welcome, but not mandatory.
•Familiarity with Procore is a plus, but training is available.
•Certifications like CHST, CSP, or SST card are beneficial but not required.
•Strong organizational and time management skills.
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey safety information clearly to diverse audiences.
