Weston Solutions, Inc. is looking for a Safety Professional to support our construction and environmental programs.
The Site Safety and Health Officer will serve as a technical resource with demonstrative experience regarding OSHA, state, USACE, EPA, other legislative bodies, and industry standards of practice.
The Site Safety and Health Officer is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of project specific Health and Safety Programs.
They act as a liaison between their Project or Technical Managers and the subcontractor and client.
This is a field project position that will require extensive travel to project sites.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Essential Skills (documented experience): Bachelor's degree or nondegree candidate with 5 years continuous safety experience Minimum of 5 years continuous construction safety experience OSHA 30 Hr Construction Safety Training Direct experience supporting high risk work such as: excavation, scaffolding, confined space entry, demolition, fall protection, hazardous energy control/LOTO, crane lifts, electrical work, construction/heavy equipment, and respiratory protection.
Experience working on multi-employer work sites (tradesmen, contractors, general laborers, etc.)
Experience with infrastructure improvement and utilities projects Familiarity with MUTCD requirements (Traffic Control & Design) Familiarity with using Accident Prevention Plans and Site Safety & Health Plans Certified in Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP), or able to obtain.
Preferred Skills: 40 Hour HAZWOPER, current 8 Hour refresher, and 8-hour HAZWOPER site supervisor training.
Experience in environmental investigations, remediation, or similar HTRW (Hazardous, Toxic, & Radiological Wastes) projects BCSP Certification (CHST, ASP, CSP) is preferred, but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Software Suite.

Experience delivering and preparing safety training content.
Construction Quality Manager (CQM) experience and certifications.
In-depth knowledge and experience implementing projects covered by USACE EM385-1-1.
Expected Outcomes: Serve as the onsite team Site Safety & Health Officer for various civil, HTRW, and other USACE projects and establishes excellent working and professional relationships with clients, their representatives, and the field teams.
Work with the Superintendent to deliver effective daily safety talks utilizing content that is relevant to the day's activities.
Generate and ensure all project documentation (including, but not limited to Daily Reports, Safety Audits, Safety Meetings, Accident Investigations, Safety Data Sheets, Safety Training, and Medical Surveillance records) is maintained and available onsite.
Ensure all personnel have the appropriate safety and health training and equipment required by the task, regulatory agency, or client.
Provides effective coaching regarding safety matters that brings about behavior that is both safe and productive.
Monitor assigned projects to assure compliance with agreed upon Health & Safety plans.
Conduct site and project health and safety audits to assure compliance with corporate programs.
Perform Health & Safety reviews and facilitate regulatory and client required safety training.
Manage and direct incident/mishap reporting and subsequent investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action support.
Coordinate and provide technical support regarding medical surveillance and other associated safety program requirements.
Develop and review Accident Prevention Plans, Health and Safety Plans, Activity-Task Hazard Analysis, and other associated safety planning documents.

Salary Range: $59,000 - $78,800 - $98,300
