Skilled Assessor

Job Title: Skilled Assessor JOB PURPOSE: To assess the technical abilities and knowledge of potential TMMAL employees applying for various technician openings. DUTIES:* Administers technical test focused on the disciplines of Electrical, Mechanical, and Pneumatics/Hydraulics. Evaluates and reports candidate's performance according to set standards and rating scales. Prepares equipment and documentation prior to assessment. Identifies and communicates equipment needs accordingly. Behaves in a safety minded manner. Attends assessor meetings as necessary. Enters test scores into computer. Creates/maintains files of tested applicants in appropriate categories. Assists in scheduling testing. *Any one position may not include all of the duties listed, nor do the examples necessarily include all of the duties performed. ABILITIES: Behaves in a safety minded manner. Exhibits excellent communication skills. Maintains a positive attitude while observing high attention to detail. Operates by using good judgment when focusing in the customer. Follows standard work procedures diligently. MINIMUM AND PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree in engineering, 2-year technical degree or at least 3 years' experience in related field. Familiarity with computers and Microsoft applications. Willing to sign a confidentiality agreement. Willing to conduct assessments at the designated Assessment Center in the Huntsville location.
