DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : Perform light mechanical repairs and maintenance on equipment and/or vehicles. Operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, excavator, trencher, dozer and skid loader. Perform site preparation, building layout, establish site elevations, finish grade and seeding/sod. Dig foundations, dig or trench water/sewer lines and septic systems. Haul rock, sand, dirt and fill material. Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS : At least 5 years of working experience in the areas listed above. General knowledge of water & sewer systems. Prefer experience with the installation of retaining walls. Knowledgeable in the use of grade instruments such as a laser level and transit. High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must possess or be able to obtain a Class "B" Commercial Driver's License. SUPERVISION : Supervised by the Construction Supervisor.
