DABS Inc provides comprehensive life skills training to adults with developmental disabilities, especially those experiencing placement challenges across California. We develop placement opportunities in order to help clients achieve a dignified experience of living and thriving within a network of community support and outreach. Our Skills Instructors enable our clients to reach their goals, create lasting and meaningful relationships, and to gain access to opportunities for learning and community outreach. With guidance, our clients are able to make their own informed decisions based on their own needs and wishes without threatening nor restricting their independence. \n What You Will DoProvides person-centered instruction and soft skills building through planned activities in the communityEstablish and maintain a safe environment in all settings including facilities, vehicles and public outingsEngage clients while encouraging positive peer interactions and healthy socializationDevelop community activity plans based on client's personal goalsRedirect inappropriate behaviors and seek positive resolution to client conflicts and difficulties using ABA professional behavioral health tactics and trainingUtilize nonviolent physical crisis intervention tactics if a client presents a danger to themselves or othersMust participate in safety trainings and other ongoing trainings and staff meetingsCommunicate critical information and incidents regarding clients with internal personnel and external circle of support(s)Track and document client progress and capture accurate case notes information in a concise, professional, and accurate mannerTaking consumers on outingsWorking with a team of internal and external professionalsOther related tasks as needed What We Need From YouCurrent CPR Certification - we can provide you with resources to complete thisRecent TB Test - we can provide you with resources to complete thisReliable Transportation to and from workExperience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferredBackground working with behaviors preferredFor roles that require driving, you will need to have a valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and insuranceUndergo federal and state fingerprint background check  What We Offer$18/HrTypical schedule: Monday through Friday 9am to 3pmPaid Sick Leave Where You Will WorkRoseville area opportunities available
