Role name: Developer Role Description: Database Administration and ManagementManage and administer Snowflake databases and warehouses for multiple environments, ensuring high performance, availability, and security.Implement and maintain database security by creating roles, users, and managing access controls.Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies.Plan and execute database maintenance tasks.Performance TuningMonitor and optimize the performance of Snowflake databases and SQL queries.Implement best practices for efficient data storage and query execution.Monitoring and ReportingSet up and manage monitoring tools and alerts for Snowflake environments.Generate and analyze reports on database performance, usage, and capacity planning.User Support and TrainingProvide support to application developers and end-users for Snowflake-related issues.Conduct training sessions for teams on Snowflake best practices and usage.DocumentationMaintain comprehensive documentation of Snowflake configurations, processes, and procedures.Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for common issues.CollaborationWork closely with data architects, data engineers, and other stakeholders to design and implement scalable and efficient data solutions.Participate in cross-functional teams to support data initiatives and projects.Compliance and AuditingEnsure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.Conduct regular audits of database security and performance.QualificationsExperience: Total 12 years of experience as database admin; proven experience as a Snowflake Admin for 6 years.Skills: Strong knowledge of SQL, database management, and performance tuning.Tools: Experience with Snowflake, ETL tools, and monitoring tools.Certifications: Snowflake certification is a plus.Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
