Job Description Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) is a cloud native Security Service Edge (SSE) solution that builds on a decade of secure web gateway leadership. Offered as a scalable SaaS platform through the world's largest security cloud, it replaces legacy network security solutions, preventing advanced attacks and data loss with a comprehensive zero trust approach. ZIA is integrated into the Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange to provide defense-in-depth, secure connectivity, end-user experience, and administrative visibility and control.
As an individual contributor, you'll be part of a team developing a Firewall and Web proxy solution delivered as a service through the cloud. You will report to the Sr. Director, Software Development Engineering. This is a Hybrid role based out of our San Jose, CA office.
What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications) 15+ years software development experience in large-scale commercial networking oriented applications Experienced in Load balancers, IPS/IDS, Routers, Firewall products in multi-threading / multi-core / fault tolerant real-time embedded platforms. Expert-level programming skills in C/UNIX/RTOS Fundamentals in TCP/IP, High performance Computing, Event-based programming, & Fault Tolerance Familiar with complete software development cycle Quick learner and ability to collaborate with others in a team environment BS degree (Engineering/Computer Science) What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) Experience with FreeBSD-based networking solutions Knowledge of HTTP and web proxies Experience in Cloud-based Networking solutions is a plus Some small company/startup experience Our Benefits program is one of the most important ways we support our employees.
