You will work closely with functional Software teams to deliver responsibilities of a Campaign Prevent Specialist Engineer. The Software Campaign Prevent Specialist Engineer is responsible for reducing Field Service Actions and Recalls through link into functional teams driving closed loop prevent and screening against SW driven customer issues.
CPS Engineers should have extensive engineering experience in their function and be capable of identifying issues which could lead to a campaign or Field Service Action.
The CPS Engineer should be considered a subject matter expert within the SW team.
What you'll do…
The primary function will be responsible for Campaign Prevention Planning, Awareness and Virtual Fresh Eyes Review for their functional area and responsible for campaign prevention for the software team.
Additional Details:
CPS Engineer conducts Awareness, Deep Dive and Virtual Fresh Eyes Reviews.
For the downstream process the CPS Engineer conducts Vehicle Fresh Eyes Reviews and identifies issues and enters issues into AIMS and or JIRA.
CPS Engineer participates in issue resolution and AIMS/JIRA Pending/Closure and supports:PMT Leaders and D&R Engineers for design issues
STA Engineers for supplier manufacturing issues
Software engineers for closed loop prevent into FMEA and quality documentation.
The CPS's concurrence is required to close all Class 1 and Class 2 issues. (No AIMS/JIRA required for Class 3, unless recommended/approved by the Regional Process Leader, refer LQOS208). It is highly recommended that CPS Engineer concurrence be documented in AIMS/JIRA prior to status changing to Pending for all Class 1 and 2 issues.
The FER Prevent Action Closure (PAC) process requires the CPS Engineer to work with their Functional organization for the development and closure of the prevent action.
The CPS Engineer will be responsible for writing all Class 1, and 2 AIMS within 24 hours of a Fresh Eyes Exit Review.
The CPS Engineer can have qualified backup representatives designated to support FER events in the event the CPS Engineer cannot support.
The Regional Campaign Prevent Process Leader will be the first Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for any FER related issues: process, scheduling, plant issues, vehicle selection, resources, etc.
The CPS Engineer will be responsible for alerting the Regional Campaign Prevent Process Leader as soon as any Class 1 issue is identified prior to the Exit Review. The Process Leader will alert the program launch team accordingly.
CPS Engineer is required to have all FER always supporting information and all checklists available (base and export).
In the event of a schedule conflict between an Awareness Session, Deep Dive Review, etc. and a vehicle level FER, the vehicle level FERs will always take priority. CPS Engineer can designate an alternate to attend FER event.
Support Dynamic evaluation - Driveline, Transmission, Engine & Chassis, Functional Safety System interaction on plant property drive evaluation.
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
5+ years of experience in an automotive domain, with knowledge of software
Knowledge of FMVSS requirements tied to Connected Vehicle Software
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

3+ years of experience in automotive domain, with software experience
