A day in the life
No two days are the same as we design, create, and ideate new technologies to leverage. Our team is working on a confidential new product. You are an innovative self-starter who is comfortable operating with ambiguity and willing to develop quick proof of concepts. You are passionate owner about customer and societal impact, and drive the technology forward and operate at all levels, diving deep into the details and provide key input into the product. You will be working across multiple organizations and services within Amazon to deliver the unique experience that we are creating.
About the team
This Alexa Smart Home team is responsible for building cloud services to deliver customer delighting experiences for existing and upcoming Multimodal devices.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
1+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience programming with at least one modern languages such as Java, Kotlin, C++, or equivalent object-oriented languages. Further, experience with AWS or equivalent cloud technologies

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
