You'll work on everything from our customer-facing web application using open source frameworks to highly-available RESTful services. You'll bring solid experience in emerging and traditional technologies such as node.js, React, Python, REST, JSON, XML, Ruby, HTML / HTML5, CSS, NoSQL databases, relational databases, Terraform, and Azure Cloud Infrastructure to name a few.
To be successful in this role, you will need extensive knowledge of programming languages and the software development life cycle.
What You'll Be DoingParticipate in code release and production deployment, have an aggressive approach to fixing bugs and defectsDesign, develop, and test software applications in an agile environmentParticipate in programming activities, monitoring, and evaluating system performanceDesign and implement new application featuresMeet deadlines and develop automated solutions that work with a high degree of reliabilityProvide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platformsWork alongside other engineers on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practicesConfiguring and manage Cloud monitoring, logging, and setting up alertsDesign, develop, and maintain APIs, databases, protocols, cloud, and data formatsCollaborate and review code with other developers to ensure a consistent level of technical standards set by the teamWork directly with Business Systems Analysts and the Chief Architect to ensure that the intersecting data and business processes in the Enterprise Applications ecosystem are efficient and high fidelityCreate documentation for solutions and processes implemented or updated to ensure team members and stakeholders can correctly interpret itBuild and maintain integrations that connect the application ecosystem with the product and cloud systemsDevelop and support our ETL environment by recommending improvements, monitoring, and deploying quality and validation processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of dataEngage in logical and physical design of databases, table creation, script creation, views, procedures, packages, and other database objectsDesign and implement processes and/or process improvements to help the development of technology solutionsYour Skills and Experience (If Order of Importance):3+ years of overall software development experience3+ years' experience deploying software in virtual or cloud environments3+ years' experience with development technologies such as TypeScript, React, NodeJS, GraphQL3+ years' experience with data platforms such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and RabbitMQStrong Proficiency with Azure cloud technologies such as Function, Data Factory, Front Door, Application Gateway, Terraform, Kubernetes, Key Vault, and VeleroExperience working with API management (i.e., Apigee, Postman, Swagger)Experience with SQL and relational databasesExperience with applications/tools to capture, manage and communicate business and technical requirements (i.e., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, etc.)Strong diagnostic skills and ability to research, troubleshoot, and logically determine solutionsAbility to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environmentComfortable managing multiple and changing priorities, and meeting deadlinesHighly organized, detail-oriented, excellent time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsIt's a Plus If You Have Any of These:Experience working with DatabricksActual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
