Software Engineer, Backend Infrastructure (4+ Years Experience)

About the Role: We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our team and help us build and maintain cutting-edge backend infrastructure. Our goal is to revolutionize how applications are built by creating a robust, scalable backend platform that simplifies complex engineering tasks and database management. As our infrastructure grows, we need an exceptional engineer with a strong background in designing and operating web infrastructure at scale.
Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain global cloud infrastructure on AWS.Take ownership of SRE/DevOps responsibilities, including automating monitoring and logging tools, developing traffic infrastructure for efficient and secure routing, managing release processing, versioning, and CI/CD.Establish and enforce reliability guidelines, ensuring systems meet goals for durability, availability, and performance. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.5+ years of backend engineering experience with a deep understanding of systems at scale.Proven expertise in best practices for system configuration, building internal systems from scratch, and deploying services.Experience in a high-growth startup environment.Interest in working in-person at our office in San Francisco.Ability to write high-quality code; knowledge of Rust is a plus.
